1st Semester Workout Protocol

School Administration Weekly Update (week of September 14, 2020):

In coordination with the Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association (MPSSAA), and in consultation with the Coordinator of Student Activities, the Instructional Specialist for Fine and Performing Arts, the Director of School Safety and Security, the Executive Directors of Schools, and the Assistant Superintendent for Supporting Services, the following information is Charles County Public Schools’ plan for resuming athletics and extra-curricular activities.

Beginning September 21, the availability of virtual athletics (coaches may meet via Zoom with their teams) and extra-curricular activities will be afforded to interested students for the purpose of engaging and re-acclimating individuals to possible opportunities in the near future.  This virtual connection will be promoted and supported throughout the school year for all students.

In-person activities will begin on October 5, following strict procedures and protection protocols in order to be consistent with Center for Disease Control (CDC) Guidelines, and school system health and safety standards, while allowing equitable, voluntary participation.  The timeline below provides an outline of our plan once approved.  Details available upon request.
