Parents:

It is clear that you play an influential role in our athletics. How you behave in the stands, talk to your child after the game, and interact with coaches and officials makes all the difference in your child’s enjoyment of the sport. Did you know that the National Federation not only provides positive courses for our student-athletes and coaches, but also for parents and fans? This seminar will review what interscholastic sports are all about and how you can enhance your child’s experience.

Positive Sport Parenting provides information and resources to help educate you on the importance of proper behavior by parents in school sports and the role you must play to ensure that your child has a positive sport experience. Developed from content developed by the Institute of Youth Sport at Michigan State University, this course provides guidelines and strategies to become a good sport parent.
